How to play Geodle

Build the route one border at a time

Begin with the displayed start country. Enter countries that connect to the active route, or save a disconnected country as a pending guess. The puzzle ends when the route reaches an accepted neighbor of the target.

1. Read the start and target countries.
2. Name a country bordering your current position.
3. Continue through neighboring countries until you reach the target.
4. Compare your route with the shortest available solution.

Valid guesses and country names

A guess is valid when it appears in the Geodle country dataset. Connected countries extend the route; disconnected countries remain pending until a later guess links them. USA, UK, Czechia, and Burma map to their canonical names.

There is no timer or penalty for thinking. The score is based on route efficiency, so careful geographic reasoning matters more than speed.

Streaks, history, and the leaderboard

Anonymous players can complete the daily puzzle in their browser. A free account preserves progress across devices and makes daily results eligible for profile history and leaderboard features.

The archive includes one free preview challenge. Geodle Pro unlocks the full set of past daily routes, while the country reference remains public.
